The University of Rhode Island (URI) is offering fully funded graduate assistantships for Master's and PhD students in wildlife ecology. Research centers on American Black Ducks in New England and covers waterfowl ecology, movement patterns, and interactions with shellfish aquaculture. This collaborative program with URI and state agencies provides strong field experience and applied research opportunities.
Tuition:
Full tuition coverage for the duration of the assistantship.
Stipend:
Academic-year stipend of ~$25,000 plus a summer stipend of $18,000 — ~$43,000/year total.
Start dates available: January 2026 or September 2026.
