Main Duties; Help get ready for and do audits that come up because of the Annual Audit Plan or when Management asks for them.
- Along with the Audit Manager, come up with the right risk assessments to utilize when finding risks in the different auditable units according to the annual audit plan.
- Create the right audit tests to deal with the risks that have been found and meet the audit goals. This will make sure that risks are being properly managed or reduced.
- Do regular and follow-up audits with little guidance, from organizing the job to dealing with deviations, talking to the right management, and generating reports. Make clear and short audit reports on what you found, including any violations of bank policies, guidelines, laws, and procedures.
- These reports should be discussed with line managers and the Audit Manager before the final reports are sent out for remedial action. Follow up on all problems that come up during audits and make sure that the agreed-upon suggestions are followed within the time range set.
- Do investigations into reported scams and forgeries as needed. Review reports to the Bank of Uganda on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis, as needed.
- When doing audit work, be sure to take the time to do it right.
- This includes checking how well the business runs and giving suggestions for ways to cut costs and increase profits.
- Keep learning and growing professionally by taking approved courses, doing self-study, and going to in-house training.
Skills and qualifications needed ;
- A bachelor's degree in business or a similar field Having professional qualifications like ACCA, CIA, CPA, or CFE is a plus.
- At least three years of experience in banking and auditing Knowledge of computerized accounting and audit systems
- Good in working with others and getting along with them
- A good sense of business Great ability in leading and talking to others
- Good planning and prioritization skills; good analytical skills
