The Human Rights Centre Uganda (HRCU) is a well-known non-governmental organization that works to defend and promote human rights in Ugand.  They work with a lot of different groups such the public human rights advocates and justice institutions to make it easier for people to get justice and make sure that human rights are upheld HRCU is looking for consultants to help with three different research and strategy development initiatives right now

Consultancy Roles

• Consultancy for Research on the Needs of Duty Bearers and Rights Holders Objective: To ascertain the distinct demands and challenges encountered by both duty bearers (e.g. law enforcement judicial authorities) and rights holders (e.g. the public human rights advocates) in the project districts of Lira Pader Moroto and Kampala Focus: Learning about the things that make it easier or harder to protect human rights so that people can better claim their rights Download the Terms of Reference from the HRCU website
• Help with the Bi-Annual Issues Paper Goal: To put together work on and publish an issues paper based on what was said in district public dialogues This document will help people in the justice law and order sectors talk to each other at roundtable sessions Focus: Writing down and putting together important human rights problems that come up in community conversations Get the Terms of Reference: You can find these on the HRCU website
• Consulting to Help with the Review of the Strategic Plan Goal: To look over HRCU's current Strategic Plan (2022–2027) to make that it still meets the needs of partners and beneficiaries as Uganda's economy society and politics change Focus: Doing a full evaluation and helping the organization change its strategic direction Download the Terms of Reference from the HRCU website
