Janitor

Job Summary

The Janitor at Mildmay Institute of Health Sciences is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and hygienic facilities for students, staff, and visitors. This role is crucial in upholding high standards of cleanliness and promoting a positive image of the institution.

Main Duties

• Ensure all MIHS facilities are clean, safe, and free of germs.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining clean, welcoming spaces for MIHS activities and guests.
• Manage linens to prevent contamination and ensure a steady supply of clean linens.
• Support administrative tasks within the department to ensure smooth operations.

Education and Experience

• Uganda Certificate of Education (O' Level).
• Certificate in housekeeping, hygiene, or a related field is an advantage.
• At least one year of hands-on experience in cleaning services, preferably in a school, hospital, or training center.
• Basic understanding of hygiene, sanitation standards, and handling of cleaning supplies and tools.
