Job Summary

Majid Al Futtaim is looking for an IT Associate that is proactive and knows a lot about technology to help with the retail IT infrastructure in Uganda. This job makes ensuring that all of the in-store and back-office systems work well, such as the POS, inventory tools, and linked retail technology This helps create a smooth and customer-focused shopping experience

Responsibilities, Roles, and Duties

• Retail System Support: Keep POS terminals, barcode scanners, printers, payment systems, and other in-store gear in good working order and fix any problems that come up so that everyday operations go well
• Software Configuration & Support: Help set up, update, and support retail software systems like CRM, ERP, e-commerce platforms, and inventory management systems
• Technical Help: Give retail and office staff first-level IT support, fixing problems with hardware, software, and networking quickly and professionally
• Network and Infrastructure Maintenance: Keep an eye on and fix the store's network connections, such as Wi-Fi, servers, and backup systems, to lower the possibility of downtime
• Managing devices and hardware: Set up and take care of laptops, tablets, handheld scanners, and digital signs in stores
• Security Compliance: Follow IT security rules to keep customer data, transaction records, and firm systems safe from cyber attacks and breaches
• System Integration: Help combine physical inventory systems with digital platforms so that stock can be tracked in real time and with precision
• Technology Implementation: Help with the rollout of new technologies in retail, like self-checkout systems, mobile apps, cloud-based solutions, and other novel ideas

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

Other Qualifications and Skills : 
At least two years of experience in IT support or infrastructure 
Experience using URA in real life You must have EFRIS support 
Good at figuring out problems and analyzing things 
Good at writing and talking to people 
Ability to handle stress in a busy retail setting
