Job Summary

WaterAid is hiring a CARFEWW Project WASH Specialist to provide technical leadership for its climate-resilient water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) interventions in Kampala.

This role ensures sustainable, inclusive solutions that address community needs and align with WaterAid’s global mission to transform lives through access to clean water and sanitation The specialist will drive innovative WASH initiatives, promoting resilience in the face of climate change challenges

Duties

  • Design and implement WASH interventions, ensuring they are climate-resilient and inclusive
  • Conduct technical assessments
  • Mentor project teams
  • Promote gender inclusion in project design
  • Build partnerships with stakeholders
  • Advocate for sustainable WASH practices
  • Prepare reports for donors
  • Monitor project outcomes
  • Ensure alignment with WaterAid’s strategic objectives

Qualifications

RequirementDetails
Experience10+ years of WASH experience, experience in development or WASH projects
EducationBachelor’s degree in Water Resources, Engineering, or a related field
SkillsExpertise in climate adaptation, donor reporting, stakeholder engagement, strong leadership, technical, and communication skills
