Food for the Hungry (FH) is seeking a Humanitarian & WASH Technical Specialist to provide expert technical leadership in the design implementation and evaluation of WASH (Water Sanitation and Hygiene) and infrastructure programs.
This role focuses on ensuring FH Uganda’s WASH initiatives are innovative evidence-based and aligned with national and international standards while strengthening community engagement and partnerships for sustainable impact.

Education | Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering Civil/Environmental Engineering Public Health Engineering or a related field |
Experience | 5–7 years of progressive experience in Humanitarian and WASH programming with at least 3 years in a technical specialist role |
Program Experience | Proven track record managing large-scale WASH and infrastructure projects in both development and emergency settings |
Technical Knowledge | Strong knowledge of WASH sector standards government policies and donor compliance (USAID EU UN agencies World Bank) |
Technical Skills | Proficiency in AutoCAD GIS and other relevant technical software |
Funding Skills | Experience in proposal writing donor engagement and resource mobilization |
