As Ntake Bakery expands its presence across East Africa, we are looking for dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our CCTV Department as Assistant CCTV Camera Operators at our Mbarara Branch.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and Manage CCTV Equipment
Handle and adjust multiple camera systems to ensure comprehensive coverage of designated areas
Verify continuous recording and functionality of playback features
Address minor technical issues and escalate complex problems to IT or security system providers
Monitor Live Video Feeds
Observe multiple screens diligently to identify unusual or suspicious activities
Respond promptly to emergencies such as theft, vandalism, fire risks, or accidents
Escalate issues to supervisors or security teams immediately
Conduct Comprehensive Surveillance
Ensure coverage of critical areas including production lines, storage zones, cash handling points, parking, and entry/exit gates
Detect blind spots and suggest camera repositioning or additional installations
Maintain constant alertness during shifts, including nights and holidays
Report Suspicious Activities
Document and log details of unusual or criminal incidents
Prepare accurate and timely written reports supported by video evidence
Communicate findings clearly to management and security teams
Coordinate with Security Personnel and Authorities
Provide real-time updates to on-site security during incidents
Share archived CCTV footage with law enforcement when required
Support internal investigations, HR disciplinary processes, and legal proceedings with reliable video records
Ensure Safe Storage and Retrieval of CCTV Footage
Organize and archive video files systematically for easy retrieval
Restrict access to footage to authorized personnel only
Prevent data loss, tampering, or unauthorized copying of recordings
Maintain a Secure and Organized Control Room
Restrict control room access to authorized monitoring staff
Keep equipment, logs, and reports organized and updated
Adhere strictly to monitoring protocols and security procedures
Assist in Reviewing and Analyzing Footage
Support investigations by identifying key moments or individuals in recordings
Compile and summarize relevant video clips for management or auditors
Identify trends, risks, or recurring incidents to support preventive measures
Contribute to the Organization’s Overall Security Strategy
Recommend enhancements to surveillance coverage and technology upgrades
Participate in security briefings and share insights from daily monitoring
Support risk management and crime-prevention initiatives
Perform Routine Checks and Maintenance
Regularly test cameras, monitors, and recording systems
Report technical issues to IT teams or service providers promptly
Ensure all systems are updated and operational to avoid downtime

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Computing, or a related field
Experience
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in CCTV operations, surveillance, or security monitoring
Skills
Strong attention to detail with excellent observation and analytical skills.
Ability to remain focused and alert while monitoring multiple camera feeds Good communication and reporting skills High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
Working Conditions
Work Environment: Based in a secure control room at the Mbarara Branch, with access strictly limited to authorized staff
Work Hours: May include day, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts on a rotational basis to ensure 24/7 surveillance coverage
Nature of Work: Requires long hours of sitting while monitoring multiple screens, maintaining a high level of concentration and alertness
Stress Levels: May involve working under pressure during emergencies, incidents, or security alerts
Physical Requirements: Must have good vision (with or without corrective lenses) and the ability to focus for extended periods
Confidentiality: Handling of sensitive information and video evidence requires strict adherence to confidentiality and data protection policies
Collaboration: Frequent coordination with security personnel, IT teams, management, and law enforcement authorities
Technical Environment: Regular use of CCTV systems, monitoring software, communication devices, and recording equipment
