Job Description

The job involves managing databases from start to finish, which includes finding and fixing SQL server problems, making the system run faster, and supporting tasks that are vital to the business.

The Database Administrator will work with vendors, improve disaster recovery systems, keep an eye on the health of the database, and help with reporting and project deployment. They will also be very important in making sure that security upgrades are followed, handling audit problems, and giving technical help to the ICT team

Main Duties

• Take care of database backups, tweaking, availability, and recovery
• Find and fix complicated SQL server problems in big banks
• Use new technology and speed up the database
• Get help from the seller to fix technical problems
• Make and keep a knowledge base for the ICT staff to use as a reference
• Help with the daily updating of reporting databases and systems
• Improve and put into action Oracle disaster recovery solutions
• Keep an eye on and use storage resources wisely
• Make sure that all audit, change management, and security rules are followed
• Help with the development, testing, and deployment of projects
• Use patches, vulnerability management, and frequent security upgrades
• Help with system upgrades and maintenance
• Keep an eye on the database and take steps to fix any problems
• Help with Oracle database chores as needed
