Job Summary

African Evangelistic Enterprise-Uganda (AEE-U) is looking for a dedicated, experienced, and passionate professional to join its dynamic team This is an important leadership position that is in charge of making sure that the Nile Vocational Institute runs smoothly and is well-coordinated The job is to lead vocational education so that it can grow, help the institution grow, strengthen systems and create an environment that supports human resources, ensure the institution's financial stability and investment, and build and/or maintain strategic partnerships for the institution

Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities in Detail

  • Contribute the institute by planning, coordinating, implementing, and managing the curriculum, as well as the educational management and student well-being functions This should contribute to the expansion of the institution
  • Speak for the institution and AEE and build strategic partnerships and networks with local groups and partners
  • Raise money in the community and region, and make sure that resources are used in the best way and on schedule so that the institution made more money than it spent
  • Set up procedures, standards, and rules that help students do better on both internal and external tests
  • Make the most of the people you have to get the Centre's work done Make sure that the Board, Board committees, and management all work together to run the business well and make good decisions
  • Make sure that the institute's department tutors, trainers, technical resource people, and other administrative and management staff are doing a good job by keeping a close eye on them
  • Keep an eye on the general upkeep and improvements to the institute's grounds Make sure that the institute meets all of its legal duties, such as PAYE and NSSF, in the country where it is located
  • Improve the NVI institution's visibility, reputation, and relationships with stakeholders at home and abroad
  • Support ways and models of training young people, women, and children so that the organization stays at the top of the vocational agenda Community-Based Training models could be one way to do this
  • Make sure that all of the institution's assets are well-documented, that all of the organization's income and debt are collected and paid on time, and that the financial resources are carefully tracked
  • Make sure that accurate, thorough, and compliance financial reports are sent to the right contributors' management and board on time

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

CategoryDescription
EducationA Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education (BTTE) in any technical or academic field, or any other Bachelor's degree in Education with a postgraduate certificate in TVET from a recognized school Having a valid registration certificate from the Ministry of Education will be a plus
ExperienceAt least 10 years of work experience in technical or vocational training institutions, with at least five of those years in a senior management role

Additional Qualifications

  • A strong Christian who shows Christian character and values in both their personal and professional lives

Important Skills

  • A good grasp of the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector and how to run it
  • Understanding of the policies, norms, procedures, and practices of academic governance, educational institutional effectiveness, and higher education institutions
  • Very good in speaking, writing, and giving presentations
  • Must know how to use a computer and be good at Microsoft Office and other programs
  • Proven honesty and great managerial skills, especially in finance and human resources
