The Fact-Checking Ambassadors Training of Trainers (ToT) program is an innovative initiative to enhance media integrity and foster responsible, factual journalism in Uganda. In November 2025, the Thomson Foundation will select 10 mid-career journalists for a training workshop in Kampala, equipping them with advanced verification, fact-checking, and training skills. As Fact-Checking Ambassadors, participants will lead peer training, strengthen newsroom verification standards, and promote accurate, responsible media practices across Uganda.
Applications will be reviewed by a screening committee comprising Thomson Foundation staff and partners. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by mid-November 2025.
