The Forklift Driver helps in moving materials around for mining and processing operations on a daily basis

You will check the equipment before each shift drive forklifts in crowded yards and warehouses load and unload trucks and containers move raw and finished items and keep precise records of all the movements

• Use counterbalance and industrial forklifts to load unload stack and stage pallets crates and other large items
• Do inspections before starting report any problems and make sure basic maintenance is done (battery/fuel tires forks)
• Move things from receiving to storage to manufacturing to dispatch according to pick lists or job tickets
• Make sure loads are secure and utilize the right rigging and attachments when needed
• Keep accurate records of movement tags and basic inventory counts
• Follow the rules for radio and hand signals speed restrictions traffic planning and spotter direction
• Keep aisles racks and loading bays clear follow 5S/housekeeping rules
• Help with truck turnarounds such as aligning the dock chocking the truck loading the vehicle in the right order and handing off the paperwork
• Report dangers near misses and problems with equipment take part in toolbox discussions and HSE drills
• Help the people who work in the warehouse or yard with general tasks when you're not driving

• Experience: 5 to 15 years of demonstrated experience driving a forklift (mandatory)
• A valid forklift operator certification or license a thorough understanding of safe lifting and load limitations
• Can move heavy or big loads in small areas and on uneven yard surfaces
• Understanding of warehouse documentation basic inventory counts and how to use a radio
• In good shape can work shifts weekends and overtime when needed
• A focus on safety being aware of your surroundings and being able to talk clearly with spotters and supervisors
