About Us

Bugadde SACCO is a financial institution that is owned, run, and governed by its members. It was registered by the registrar of cooperatives in 2005 and is dedicated to providing financial services that are targeted to people and groups in order to promote social and economic development. It has nine branches all over eastern Uganda, and its main office is in Mayuge town. It is one of the biggest SACCOs in eastern Uganda. We don't just invest money; we also come up with new ways to help fast-growing communities build their businesses.

Job Summary

The Information Systems Administrator will be in charge of carrying out the ICT annual audit plan by auditing all of the institution's IT systems, including its infrastructure, hardware, software, and all other IT systems. Also, ensure that the audited operations follow the current professional requirements for Information Systems auditing and Internal Auditing when it comes to Information Systems Risk Management and internal controls.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Duty	Description
Audit Execution	Follow the Internal Audit Plan, Methodology, methods, procedures, and timeframes to undertake risk-based Information Systems audits.
Audit Planning	As part of the internal audit plan, define the scope, specific goals, expected results, and deadlines for audit operations.
Control Assessment	Check the design and effectiveness of the information systems controls that are already in place. Also, do information control reviews of the standards for system development, operating procedures, system security, programming controls, network and infrastructure controls, backup and disaster recovery, and system maintenance.
Consulting Services	Offer consulting services for information systems and unique or one-time investigations.
Reporting	Make sure that audit and inquiry reports are ready on schedule and include details of the findings and suggestions for how to enhance internal controls.
Audit Documentation	Make sure that any audit tasks you are given are done completely, including keeping the working paper file organized and making sure there is a good audit trail.
Data Analytics	Using computer-assisted audit tools to help with data analytics and extraction.
Professional Development	Learn and keep up the skills, information, and expertise you need to be a valuable member of the Internal Audit team.
Additional Tasks	Any other tasks that Internal Audit Management may need you to do and give you.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Requirement	Details
Education	A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field in IT.
Certification	It would be good to have a CISA certification. Having a CISM, CRISC, CISSP, Security Risk & Governance certification, or IT qualifications is a plus.
Experience	Having at least one (1) year of experience in a relevant IT audit function or IT operations role, particularly in a financial institution, is a plus.
Technical Skills	Technical skills and experience working in IT environments, ideally in a financial institution.
Communication	Good in evaluating, communicating, and writing reports.
Data Analysis	Good at analyzing data and handling a lot of information at once.
Thinking Skills	A logical and independent thinker.
Ethics	Strong morals and professional behavior.
