Job Summary

The Lubeqa Institute of Nursing and Medical Sciences (LINMS) is looking for a competent and experienced Public Administration and Management Officer to join its team This is a full-time job that reports directly to the Principal.

The officer will be in charge of the administration of this well-known private non-profit school across the country The job includes making sure that the institute runs well on a day-to-day basis overseeing and putting into place effective administrative systems administering institutional policies and coordinating activities amongst departments.

 This job is perfect for someone who is passionate about helping the education sector and the institute's purpose of offering high-quality affordable health sciences education and has good organizational abilities and the ability to think strategically

Main Duties
  • Create examine and put into action administrative policies and processes that will make the business run more smoothly
  • Make sure that institutional records data and documents are kept safe and easy to find
  • Make sure that the principal's office can talk to the different departments (academics finance HR)
  • Help arrange and carry out events meetings and workshops at the institution
  • Make reports briefings and presentations for the principal about administrative issues
  • Take care of the office's resources and supplies to make sure they are used in the best way possible and at the lowest cost
  • Make sure that the administrative personnel is working toward the institute's aims
  • Be the person to talk to when people have questions or problems with complicated administrative tasks
Academic Requirements
Requirement
It is necessary to have a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration and Management from an accredited school
A Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management is a separate benefit
Skills and Experience
  • At least two (2) years of verifiable job experience in an administrative or management role at a well-known organization like a school a non-profit or a business
  • A good grasp of the basics of public administration governance and management
  • Great at communicating in writing and speaking
  • Better at planning organizing and coordinating than others
  • Being able to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook) well
  • The capacity to lead and work with little supervision
  • You must be between the ages of 27 and 49
