Senior Planner Technician - Mota-Engil

Job Description

Mota-Engil is looking for a Senior Planner Technician to help the project reach its goals by keeping track of and monitoring its progress. This job includes keeping an eye on work being done, making plans, and ensuring that economic, technical, and legal criteria are met. The Senior Planner works with others to make precise work plans and ensures the project is finished on schedule and efficiently, which helps it be successful overall.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling projects; assessing and managing risks.
• Making and keeping track of a budget.
• Making and carrying out plans for projects.
• Helping to create, put into action, and keep up procedures and tools that make scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting easier.
• Helping the Project Manager keep track of how the project is going and write reports for the executives.
• Knowing what the project needs and making sure that the timeframes fit within the budget.
• Making sure that contract criteria are met and letting vendors know when the scope changes.
• Working with vendors and contractors to find solutions that are cost-effective.
• Going to and setting up meetings, keeping track of results and deliverables.
• Setting up and changing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to keep track of costs and progress.
• Finding out about projects and giving quotes.
• Suggesting other ways to solve problems that come up during a project.
• Looking at how long a project will last and how it will affect the environment.
• Looking over rules and regulations set by the government.
• Doing other tasks that the boss gives you.
