Job Summary

Mota-Engil Africa, a leading construction firm, is hiring a Safety, Quality, Environment Manager (SHEQ) to oversee health, safety, quality, and environmental standards for its construction projects in Kampala. 

This role ensures compliance with ISO standards and promotes a safe, sustainable work environment, supporting Mota-Engil’s commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across Africa The SHEQ Manager will play a critical role in protecting workers, communities, and the environment while maintaining project excellence

Duties

• Develop and implement SHEQ plans
• Conduct risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with Uganda’s safety regulations and ISO standards
• Train staff
• Investigate incidents
• Report on SHEQ performance
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to promote best practices
• Monitor environmental impacts
• Ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for internal and external audiences
