Job Description:
The Site Security Manager will be in charge of all security activities at Hoima to make sure that company assets, employees, and facilities are safe and secure.
This full-time, on-site job includes developing security rules, doing risk assessments, overseeing security teams, and working with local authorities to stop and deal with security crises in a high-stakes setting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily deployment, discipline, and performance of guard units that protect people, equipment, and pipeline construction sites
- Make sure that security posts are staffed according to the terms of the contract and that shift schedules are managed well.
- Be the first person to call when there is a security issue, and make sure that the right people are notified and that the right steps are taken to deal with it.
- Stay in close communication with contractors, site management, and consortium leadership to deal with new security issues as they come up.
- Make sure that everyone follows the company's SOPs, EACOP security procedures, VPSHR, and ICoCA standards.
- Keep an eye on the guards' living conditions, food, and well-being to keep them ready to work and in a good mood.
- Write and send in daily and weekly security reports that include incidents, performance indicators, risks, and suggestions.
- Do security risk assessments to find weaknesses and put in place ways to fix them.
- Give guards refresher training and on-the-job mentoring to keep them professional and successful.
- Use stringent rules for access control, patrols, and surveillance to stop theft, sabotage, or interference.
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 5–7 years of experience managing security, preferably in the oil and gas, construction, or mining industries
- Proven experience overseeing security guards on construction or infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to handle incidents, write detailed reports, and make decisions under pressure
- Excellent English communication skills (both spoken and written)
- Know how to use a computer (Word, Excel, email)
- A valid driver's license
- A certificate of basic first aid and fire safety training
- Experience working with guard personnel in remote or field settings
- Familiarity with the Voluntary Principles on Security & Human Rights (VPSHR) is a plus
- Experience with community relations and resolving conflicts is a plus
- Knowing about HSE practices and working with site safety teams is helpful.
- Ability to make duty rosters and keep accurate data
- Training in security risk assessments or incident response is helpful but not necessary.
- Leadership or supervisory training is a plus.
