Job Summary

The Security Officer, recruited by Exquisite Solution for a client in the industrial sector, will oversee security operations across corporate locations. The role involves monitoring for potential threats, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and collaborating with contracted security staff to maintain a safe workplace.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Monitor and control assigned access points in accordance with company security policies
• Prevent loss, theft, waste, or misuse of company property by adhering to corporate protocols
• Conduct thorough searches of individuals and vehicles at entry and exit points, reporting any threats or violations
• Confiscate weapons from visitors and restrict access to sensitive or restricted areas
• Safely store visitors’ weapons in designated storage areas
• Follow company procedures for receiving and dispatching goods and materials, overseeing the process
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date security logs and dispatch records
• Prepare, maintain, and secure all security-related reports and documentation
• Identify potential security threats during duty and report immediately to the Security Supervisor
• Perform regular patrols to ensure safety and compliance across company premises
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE); a diploma in any field is an advantage
• At least 2 years of progressive experience in security operations
• Strong understanding of criminal investigation processes
• No criminal convictions on record
• High attention to detail and strong observation skills
• Strong mental awareness, integrity, and sound judgment
• Physically fit and capable of performing security-related tasks effectively
