Job Summary:

Aga Khan Education Services Uganda is looking for a trained IRE Teacher for "O" and "A" Level on a part-time basis. This job aims to teach high-quality Islamic Religious Education while encouraging academic success and spiritual growth in a diverse setting.

The Aga Khan Education Service Uganda (AKESU) is one of the best schools in Uganda and is dedicated to giving all Ugandans a high-quality education. AKESU runs schools for kids from preschool to high school. It provides a number of curricula, including the Uganda National Primary and Secondary curriculum. Responsibilities, Roles, and Duties

The Atmosphere and Ethos of the Class

• Keep a good attitude toward all students, taking into account their abilities and cultural differences.
• Make sure the classroom is secure, clean, and displays student work.
• Keep an eye on how students look, how clean they are, and how often they come to class.
• Keep student records private.

Learning and Teaching

• Make daily lesson plans and teach them well
• Help students develop their critical thinking, ethics, creativity, and problem-solving abilities
• Get them ready for tests
• Keep track of your work, mark sheets, and educational help sessions.
• Take part in cultural and sporting events, clubs, and house events.

Relations with the Community

• Hold meetings with parents and teachers and go to meetings with parents.
• Help people see your school in a good light, both within and outside of school.

Growth in both personal and professional areas

• Take part in workshops and professional development programs
• Use new teaching methods and approaches
• Keep learning and growing in your work.

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

• A bachelor's degree in education or a specific subject
• Registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports as a Graduate Teacher
• At least five years of teaching experience using the Uganda National Curriculum
• A history of doing well in school
• A lot of understanding about modern teaching approaches
• Great communication skills
• Learning new ways to teach the curriculum
• Self-driven and dedicated to helping students grow
