About Empower-Nurture-Uplift (ENU): 

ENU is a youth-led group that helps poor women in the slums of Kampala and teenage girls in rural Uganda by advocating for their sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR). 

Our main project gives teenage mothers the skills they need to make a living, as well as mentoring and opportunities for personal growth. Overview of the job: The 

Administrative Assistant Volunteer helps with paperwork, communication, and advocacy work, such as SRHR and youth empowerment projects. The best candidates speak business English well, are very organized, and care about making a difference in the world. Main 

Duties: 

  1. Office and administrative support:
  •  Keep the organization's records, files, and databases up to date. 
  • Set up meetings, keep track of calendars, and plan events. 
  • Keep track of project deadlines and deliverables. 

2. Writing and talking:

  •  Write reports, meeting minutes, memos, and press releases. 
  • Help in writing impact stories and funding requests. 

3. Advocacy and Community Engagement: 

  •  Help with SRHR/youth policy campaigns and getting people to events. 
  • Work with youth groups and community leaders. 
  • Help with design and social media: Make visuals for social media, reports, and fliers. 
  •  Keep track of activity and manage social media profiles. 

4. Managing digital and office tools: 

  • Use Microsoft Office to make reports and presentations. 
  • Keep information organized on cloud platforms like Google Drive and Dropbox. 
  • Professional Behavior:  Work well with teams and partners. 
  1. Keep things private and meet deadlines. 

    Qualifications and Skills: 

    1. Must be a current college student (preferably in Business Administration, Social Work, or Mass Communication). 

  2. Can speak and write business English well. Good at using Microsoft Office and basic graphic design tools. 
  3. Loves fighting for the rights of young people, gender equality, and giving people in their community more power. 
  4. Lives in Kampala (knowing about slums is a plus).
