Job Summary

The IWI is looking for a Website Administrator to keep the organization's websites up to date and help members with any technical problems they have

Responsibilities, Roles, and Duties

Website Maintenance

  • Making sure that the organization's websites are always up-to-date with the latest content and that it is accurate, relevant, and running at its best

Content Management

  • Keeping track of and changing the text, photographs, videos, and other media on a website

Security Management

  • Setting up and keeping up website security measures like firewalls and encryption to keep cyber dangers at bay

Performance Monitoring

  • Keeping an eye on things like traffic, load times, and user behavior on a website and finding ways to make it better

Troubleshooting

  • Finding and fixing technical problems that may come up, like links that don't work, pages that take too long to load, or errors

User Experience (UX)

  • Making sure that the websites are easy to use, browse, and give visitors a good experience

Technical Support

  • Helping website users with technical problems and fixing any problems they may have

Specific Tasks

  • Managing domain names and web hosting
  • Backing up website data and implementing disaster recovery plans
  • Optimising website pages for search engines (SEO)
  • Analysing website traffic using tools like Google Analytics
  • Collaborating with developers on website design and functionality
  • Developing and implementing website strategies to improve performance and user engagement

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

Important Skills

  • You should know how to use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web servers, and web security rules
  • Being able to find and fix technical problems quickly and effectively
  • The ability to talk to users, coworkers, and stakeholders in a clear and effective way
  • The ability to handle many things at once, set priorities, and fulfill deadlines
  • The ability to look at website data and find ways to make it better
  • Making sure that the content and functions of the website are correct and consistent
  • Keeping up with the newest web technology and trends
