Kyamuhunga Abamwe Sacco is a member-owned savings and credit cooperative founded in 2013 in Kyamuhunga Sub-County, Bushenyi District, Uganda. It provides affordable financial services, including savings, loans, and mobile banking, to enhance members' livelihoods, primarily supporting tea farmers and local communities.
Kyamuhunga Abamwe Sacco also known as Abamwe Sacco is a savings and credit cooperative owned by its members. It was founded in 2013 and is based in Kyamuhunga Sub-County Bushenyi District Uganda
The SACCO was started by a group of tea growers and people who lived nearby Its goal is to give its members more power by offering financial services that are easy to use and affordable for people who live in rural and semi-urban areas
Its goal is to improve people's lives and it does this by offering a variety of products such as savings accounts low-cost lending programs and mobile banking services It uses technology to reach members in many areas
The cooperative has grown in size and power with four active branches: the main office in Kyamuhunga the Kabira Branch in Mitooma the Kirugu Outreach in Rubirizi the Muhokya Outreach in Kasese and most recently outreach activities in Isingiro District
Under the cooperative registration number 10395RCS the SACCO is run by General Manager Nakoora Julius. It is dedicated to promoting economic stability among its members through high-quality microfinance solutions supporting agricultural development especially in the tea sector and promoting financial inclusion
