Job Description

Job Title: 33 Research Assistants

Organization: The Children's Rights and Violence Prevention Fund (CRVPF)

Location: Uganda

Deadline for Applications: November 12, 2025

Start Date: November 17, 2025

Length: 1 to 2 weeks, depending on how well you do and how well you finish a 2-day program.

The Children's Rights and Violence Prevention Fund (CRVPF) is looking for 33 skilled and experienced Research Assistants (RAs) to help with field data collecting for the Empowering Youth through Data and Community Development Program (EYDCD).

Data collection will occur in person in the following districts and refugee settlements: Buikwe, Butambala, Kampala, Kayunga, Kiboga, Kabarole, Luwero, Lyantonde, Lira, Masaka, Mpigi, Mubende, Mukono, Wakiso, Orukyinga (Isingiro), Kyangwali (Kikuube), Palabek (Lamwo), Rhino (Terego), Kyaka II (Kyegegwa), Omugo (Terego), Lobule (Koboko), Pagirinya (Adjumani), and Parolinya (Obongi).

The study's goal is to look at how well the program is doing and find ways to make it better.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Go to all of the training sessions, take part in them, and pass the test.
  • Use KoboCollect to do in-person surveys, such as Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
  • Keep the data accurate and make sure there are as few mistakes as possible when running the survey.
  • Give input on a frequent basis during debriefing sessions to make the data better.
  • Before uploading, tidy up the field data and fix any problems.
  • Follow the rules for interviews and ethical standards when you collect data.
  • Be ready to put in long hours in different field environments.
  • Do any other tasks that are related to your job as provided.

Skills, Education, and Qualifications

  • Must have finished Senior Six (S.6) or a higher level.
  • Experience collecting electronic data in the past.
  • Proven competence to do interviews in person.
  • Being able to speak both English and the language of the community where you work.
  • Have used data collecting tools like ODK, KoboToolbox, or CommCare before.
  • Having worked with marginalized groups before, such those with disabilities and refugees, is a plus.
  • You must have an Android phone.
