Position Summary
The Field Programme Assistant will support the implementation of reparations and assistance programmes under the TFV mandate in Uganda The role includes regular liaison with victims, implementing partners, and local stakeholders.
The successful candidate will report to the Uganda Programme Manager and collaborate with the broader field team
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Programme Support
Support the admission of eligible victims into the reparations programme
Coordinate with implementing partners and the VPRS database
Ensure victims possess valid identity documents
Coordinate with partners for documentation where necessary
Maintain communication with victims regarding admission status and programme entitlements
Manage victim records, including data entry, file updates, and database maintenance
Prepare regular reports detailing progress on victim admission and programme activities
Assist in identifying gaps, success stories, lessons learned, and issues
Support documentation processes for internal and external evaluations
Maintain a clear and well-organized filing system at the Uganda Country Office
Monitoring & Evaluation
Participate in monitoring of reparation initiatives and partner activities
Contribute to progress reports and help track key programme indicators
Communications
Maintain regular communication with victims regarding programme terms and services
Draft and disseminate key messages tailored to victims' needs
Manage SMS platforms to communicate updates and awareness messages
Propose conflict resolution strategies for victim-related issues
Assist in execution of TFV Uganda programme external communication efforts
Administrative Support
Support logistical arrangements for programme events, workshops, and meetings
Prepare travel requests and claims for the programme team
Maintain both electronic and hard-copy filing systems
Ensure confidentiality and secure storage of sensitive documents

Education
A first-level or advanced university degree may substitute up to 2 years of work experience
Experience
At least 6 years of relevant experience in data entry, records management, or related fields At least
2 years of experience in field-based programme support, preferably involving vulnerable groups Experience with international organisations, UN bodies, or INGOs is an advantage
Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies Excellent planning and organisational skills in multi-cultural settings Team-oriented with ability to work independently and under pressure Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems High standards of confidentiality and integrity
Languages
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required Knowledge of Acholi is essential Familiarity with Lango, Ateso, or French is highly desirable Knowledge of additional official ICC languages (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) is an asset
