Job Details

As an Accountant at Livara, you will play a critical role in our finance team, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing insights to support our growth. Your expertise will contribute to the ongoing success of our mission-driven brand.

Main Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Ensure compliance with Uganda’s tax and regulatory requirements.
Prepare financial reports and provide actionable insights for business growth.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) recognized by ICPAU.
2–5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.

Key Skills

Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (IFMS knowledge is a plus).
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data and produce actionable reports.
Integrity: Commitment to high ethical and professional standards.
Communication and Teamwork: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong teamwork abilities.
Organization: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Local Expertise: Solid understanding of Uganda’s tax and regulatory frameworks.
