Job Overview

NOGAMU seeks an Administration Officer to manage daily administrative human resource membership and logistical tasks ensuring efficient operations and supporting organizational objectives. 

The role reports to the Head of Finance and Administration.

Key Responsibilities

Office Administration

  • Oversee smooth office operations including utilities supplies and services
  • Maintain accurate records correspondence and filing systems both electronic and physical
  • Coordinate procurement of office supplies equipment and services following organizational policies
  • Ensure safety security and proper management of office assets

Human Resources and Staff Support

  • Keep updated staff records including leave and attendance tracking
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies staff welfare and health and safety guidelines

Logistical Coordination

  • Arrange meetings workshops conferences and travel logistics
  • Manage office fleet ensuring proper vehicle use and maintenance
  • Support coordination of field visits and stakeholder engagements

Communication and Stakeholder Support

  • Serve as the primary contact for visitors and inquiries
  • Facilitate internal communication among staff and external stakeholders
  • Provide administrative assistance to Finance and program teams as required

Expected Deliverables

  • Efficient administrative and HR systems
  • Accurate and current records and reports
  • Effective logistical support for meetings events and field activities
  • Compliance with statutory and organizational policies
  • Timely support for staff members and stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

EducationBachelor’s degree in Business Administration Human Resource Management Public Administration or related field
ExperienceMinimum 1 year of relevant experience in administration or HR in an NGO or corporate environment
KnowledgeUnderstanding of Uganda’s labor laws and HR best practices
SkillsStrong organizational multitasking and communication abilities proficiency in MS Office and office management systems
LanguageFluency in written and spoken English knowledge of local languages

Contract Duration

Initial 1-year full-time contract renewable based on performance and funding availability
