Crop Management: A guide on how to choose crops, plant them, fertilize them, deal with pests, and harvest them
Soil Health: Test the soil and encourage long-term care for it
Crop Monitoring: Keep an eye on the health of your crops and come up with ways to fix problems
Training for Farmers: Teach them about the best ways to farm and how to protect the soil
Demonstrations and Field Trials: Set up demo plots and help with field trials
Crop Planning and Selection: Give advice on what crops to grow depending on the soil, climate, and market conditions
Environmental Stewardship: Encourage farming that is good for the environment
Working together and talking: Work with stakeholders and give them useful information
Data Analysis: Work with the M&E team to look at crop yields and soil health
Academic Requirements
Requirement
A bachelor's or master's degree in agronomy, agriculture, or a related discipline
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience in soil science, crop management, and agronomy
A lot of knowledge of soil science, crop physiology, and agronomic methods
Great at talking to and getting along with other people
Proven ability to think critically and solve problems
Knowing about local crops and farming methods is a plus
