Role Overview

The Scouter supports crop protection and production teams by identifying pest infestations, disease symptoms, and plant variety mix-ups in greenhouses.

You ensure early detection and accurate reporting to maintain high crop quality, minimize losses, and enable timely pest control actions.

Responsibilities, Roles & Duties

• Identify beds with mixed plant varieties
• Mark locations of insect pests clearly
• Ensure all pest locations are labeled with readable nameplates
• Randomly check plastic-covered beds for dropouts
• Spot unusual plants in greenhouses
• Re-check marked spots during harvest with the team
• Accurately count all pest monitoring trap cards in greenhouses
