Holland Greentech Uganda is growing its presence in the Kigezi region and is looking for a skilled and committed Sales Agronomist to join our busy team in Kabale.

Role Overview

Job Title: Sales Agronomist in the Kigezi Region

Company: Holland Greentech Uganda

Kigezi Region Focus: Based in Kabale, serving farmers across the greater Kigezi area with hands-on agronomy support and commercial onion production training.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

Agronomy Support & Farmer Training

Help farmers in Kabale and the larger Kigezi region with agronomy
Lead training and demonstration events for onion production
Teach groups of farmers how to farm better.

Sales & Business Development

Promote Holland Greentech's goods and services, such as greenhouses, irrigation, seeds, and soil testing.
Increase revenue and take care of relationships with customers and partners

Field Operations & Project Support

Do field visits, follow-ups, and help in the implementation of regional projects.

Requirements, Education, and Skills

Main Requirements:

Age: 23 to 30
Experience: growing onions for sale, controlling pests and diseases, and handling onions after they are picked
Working with farmer groups or cooperatives in the community
Skills: managing stakeholders, communicating, giving presentations, and growing a business
Characteristics: eager, proactive, and open to learning
Other: A valid motorbike license
Language: Runyakitara (Rukiga) and Rufumbira are preferred

NOTE: CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE OR DIPLOMA IN AGRICULTURE, HORTICULTURE, AGRIBUSINESS, OR ANOTHER AGRICULTURAL FIELD FROM A WELL-KNOWN UNIVERSITY OR COLLEGE.
