Malaika Honey is looking for an Apiculture Development Officer to work at our main office in Kampala

This job will be in charge of our national outreach structure which helps with business efforts administration and program creation that are in accordance with our goal of empowering beekeepers and growing Uganda's apiculture sector

• Oversee and coordinate the work of Malaika Honey outreach centers all around Uganda
• Keep track of the number of registered farmers hives production levels and beekeepers who participate at each center
• Keep your databases of beekeepers groups and commercial partners up to current
• Plan and help with training courses farmer group meetings and community outreach events that take place both inside and outside the company
• Get reports from field staff check them and put them together to send to management and benefactors
• Make summaries of outreach initiatives' performance every month and every three months
• Help with getting and sending equipment training materials and supplies to centers
• Make sure that outreach teams respect the rules and policies of the firm
• Work with the admin staff to establish budgets and keep an eye on outreach spending
• Talk to regional coordinators on a frequent basis to talk about problems and share news
• Write proposals concept notes and progress reports for partners and donors
• Talk to outside groups like NGOs government organizations and buyers to form relationships
• Help in marketing and trade efforts for honey and other bee products
• Take part in business planning meetings and give management input from the field

• A bachelor's degree in business administration agriculture agribusiness rural development or a field that is similar
• At least three years of experience in managing development projects agriculture or coordinating programs
• Good at organizing and running things
• You can handle a lot of different tasks and work with a wide range of people
• Great at creating reports and talking to people
• Good at Microsoft Office and basic data management
• A dedication to the values of social enterprise and community development

• Knowledge about how to keep bees and how honey gets to market in Uganda
• Have worked with groups of farmers cooperatives or programs that help people in rural areas make a living
• Experience writing grants or reports for donors
