As the Area Manager the person in this job will be in charge of a collection of stores in the Mpumalanga region

They will lead and guide store managers and their teams managing talent planning for the future and improving performance

The Area Manager will lead strategies relating to customers to improve happiness making sure brand standards are met and encourage a culture of brand ambassadorship

Also the job entails doing financial research to find ways to increase sales and profits looking into new shop options and making operational processes better

• Lead and give store managers the tools they need to carry out operational objectives and goals
• Find train and manage people to help with succession planning
• Recognize good work and manage poor performance well to improve performance
• Carry out customer-related plans to make sure they are very happy
• Promote your company's ideals to get employees more involved and become brand ambassadors
• Look at financial records to find ways to boost sales and profits
• Find and build new store prospects that will bring in sales that can't be compared to others
• Look over and make better the processes and efficiencies of the business
• Give merchant teams feedback on products to help them sell more

Qualifications and Experience

• A relevant degree from a college or university
• At least five years of experience as a Store Manager with extra duties
• Good at using Microsoft Office and very good with computers

Skills and Abilities

• Good in leading and managing people
• Good business sense and knowledge of how to manage profits and losses
• Knowledge of basic labor laws the cycles of retail merchandise and the consumer journey
• Great at talking to people and solving problems
• The ability to motivate and improve performance in a store
