Job Description
OML Uganda Limited is looking to hire a Procurement Assistant to execute normal manual and clerical activities .
The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that the work produced is in conformity with processes and standard expectations set forth by the OML Quality Management System (QMS) It is accountable to the Procurement Supervisor
Obligations and Responsibilities
- As soon as the reorder level is reached it is imperative to ensure that requisitions of stocked items are made
- As soon as the goods are received it is imperative to make sure that the invoices delivery and inspection certificate are sent to the Procurement Supervisor and Accounts Payable for payment
- On a biannual basis it is necessary to examine the consumption rate of every stock item in order to make appropriate adjustments to the reorder quantity and reorder level respectively
- Receiving purchase requisitions from the user department and sending bid requests to suppliers in accordance with those requisitions as well as conducting bid evaluations based on the quotes obtained for order award
Credentials in the Academic Field
- Degree in Procurement and Logistics Bachelor of Business Administration or any other topic of study that is comparable from a reputed university
Abilities and Expertise
- I possess strong organizational abilities and the ability to effectively communicate with others
- Capabilities in providing excellent customer service and maintaining positive public relations
- A strong ability to interact with others and to take charge
- Prone to acquire new knowledge and cultivate their own abilities
Experience
- One year of experience in roles connected to procurement is an essential requirement
- Preferred: the most recent graduate
