Job Summary:
The Banking Assistant will help customers with their banking needs, such as processing deposits, transfers, and payments, while making sure that they get great service and follow company rules.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help customers with deposits, transfers, and payments
- Help with bank operations and administrative tasks as needed
- Make sure accounts are opened on time and with the right paperwork
- Make requests for checkbooks and scan signature cards
- Process remittances to India, inbound and outward TTs, and RTGS transfers
- Keep track of associated registers and statements
- Answer client questions about their balances
- Help with the clearing process at the entry level
- Balance important accounts like INR, SUNCR, and SUNDEP
- Encourage customers to buy and use more than one bank product or service
- Help customers with their questions and forward them to the right department
- Keep and manage bank records in a safe and organized way
- Build customer loyalty by providing professional and quick service
- Make sure you follow KYC/AML rules and regulations
- If there are no other tellers, be a teller when needed
- Do any other tasks that management gives you
Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline from a well-known institution
- At least two years of relevant work experience in the Operations Department of a bank or other financial institution
- Very good computer skills
- Ability to do well in a busy workplace

- Physical demand: long periods of sitting
- Preferred age: under 40 (although management may look at applicants outside of this range)
- Must be willing to work at any Bank of India (U) Ltd. branch
- The appointment is subject to academic verification, reference checks, and a background report
