Job Summary
The Chief Commercial Officer will oversee all sales operations, expanding AFRIpads' reach in East Africa (Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, DRC) and beyond. Manage key partnerships with INGOs/UN agencies, leverage LTAs (IOM, UNFPA/UNICEF), and drive B2C growth with the So Sure brand.
Key Responsibilities
Existing Customer & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with INGOs and UN agencies in core markets
- Utilize LTAs with IOM and UNFPA/UNICEF for sales growth
- Maintain detailed CRM data for proactive engagement
- Oversee B2C sales of So Sure brand in Uganda and Kenya
African Business Development
- Develop strategy for expansion into Southern, Central, and West Africa
- Navigate barriers (imports, standards, distribution)
- Strengthen marketing for B2B and B2C channels
Commercial Leadership
- Lead sales and marketing teams with strategy, targets, incentives
- Conduct regular performance reviews and training
- Retain talent and address underperformance
Qualifications & Experience
- 10–15 years professional experience, including 5+ years senior management
- Proven results in sales/marketing with measurable impact
- Experience in commercial and NGO sectors in Africa
- Key Skills:
- Strong financial acumen
- Proven leadership and team motivation
- Cross-cultural management across regions
- Entrepreneurial mindset with private sector impact focus
- Excellent English (written/spoken); French/Swahili advantage
- Additional: 30–40% travel; adaptability; passion for women's empowerment
