About the Company
The Bank of Uganda regulates Rhino Payment Services Ltd, which does business as RukaPay We started in 2023 and are dedicated to changing the way people in Uganda make digital payments by making them safer, more innovative, and more accessible to everyone
Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy: Make sure that the company's vision and financial strategy are in sync
- Planning and Reporting: Be in charge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and correct reporting
- Cash and capital management: Make sure you have enough cash on hand, optimize your capital structure, and keep track of your working capital
- Cost and Risk Control: Make sure that costs are kept low, risks are managed, and rules are followed
- Growth Initiatives: Handle mergers, acquisitions, investments, and tax planning
- Leadership: Work closely with the CEO and leadership team and mentor the financial team
Qualifications, Education, and Skills

| Education | A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related discipline Preferred: MBA in Finance, Strategy, or Business Management |
| Experience | 10 to 15 years of experience in finance and accounting jobs that got better over time At least five years of experience in senior leadership roles like CFO, VP Finance, or Finance Director A lot of experience in corporate finance, financial operations, risk management, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) A history of successfully directing financial teams and working with top executives Experience working in regulated settings, including the financial services or fintech sectors, is a plus |
Professional Certification:
You must be a member of ICPAU or another well-known international accounting group, such ACCA or CIMA
