Development Associate at Street Business School

Job Summary

The non-profit Street Business School (SBS) is looking for a Development Associate to work from home in Colorado USA Its goal is to alleviate worldwide poverty by giving women the tools they need to start their own businesses This entry-level job is great for someone who wants to work in fundraising and running a non-profit.

 The associate will be in charge of keeping track of donations organizing donor interactions and helping with the fundraising tactics that make SBS's important work teaching business skills to women in Uganda and other places possible

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Help carry out SBS's individual giving plan to get more people to give
• Keep track of and thank donors for their gifts in the database (Little Green Light)
• Help write persuasive letters to donors such as appeals and impact reports
• Do research on prospective new contributors and financial sources to find them
• Help with the planning and organization of fundraising events and campaigns
• Work with the marketing team to generate content for social media and other channels
• Help get ready for meetings with donors and grant applications

Education and Skills

Experience and Skills

• 1–2 years of appropriate office or administrative work experience experience working for a non-profit is a plus
• Very good at organizing things and paying close attention to details
• Good at writing and speaking English
• An interest in worldwide development and an understanding of other cultures
• You should know how to use Microsoft Office and CRM systems Experience with Little Green Light is a plus
