This full-time role (90% field coordination, 10% support in tourism or cleaning operations) requires a highly motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and reliable individual with a passion for community development and cycling
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Mobilisation
Organize and lead community sensitization sessions on bicycle programs
Engage stakeholders including district officials, school staff, and local leaders
Ensure smooth project implementation through stakeholder coordination
Support visits by donors and organizational leadership to project sites
Programme Implementation
Identify and register eligible beneficiaries based on defined selection criteria
Coordinate the distribution of bicycles and conduct basic training for recipients
Ensure proper documentation and accurate data collection
Build capacity among beneficiaries for sustainable bicycle usage
Manage communication and logistics with partners and government bodies
Execute project activities in line with implementation plans
Programme Development
Identify and report community needs for future bicycle programs
Support development of program strategies and implementation plans
Provide actionable feedback for continuous improvement
Ensure learnings are integrated into future programming
Monitoring & Evaluation
Conduct follow-up visits to assess usage and impact of distributed bicycles
Monitor and report program activities using digital tools
Identify implementation challenges and recommend improvements
Track activity data using designated applications
Other Responsibilities (10%)
Candidates will dedicate 10% of time to one of:
Bicycle Tour Guiding, or
Cleaning and Maintenance

Diploma in Community Development, Project Management, or related Social Sciences
Experience
At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
Skills
Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Fluency in English, Luganda, and Lusoga High attention to detail and data accuracy Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Physically fit and passionate about cycling – must be able to comfortably cycle at least 15 km
