Job Summary
The Finance Controller will direct key Finance and Control functions for Schneider Electric France Permanent Establishment (Uganda), supporting the EACOP & Tilenga Project. As an individual contributor, the role ensures operational efficiency, cost management, and regulatory compliance through accurate financial transactions and reporting.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities
Tax and Accounting Management
- Manage entity accounting, tax returns, and regulatory compliance
- Lead statutory audits and collaborate with external consultants and auditors
Financial Accuracy and Control
- Review financial statements and ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Monitor intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Billing and Collections
- Oversee invoicing processes
- Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collections
Banking and Treasury Management
- Monitor local banking operations and maintain strong bank relationships
- Optimize cash flow through accurate forecasting and management
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks (DOA, IFRS, internal policies)
- Comply with all local tax and banking regulations
Reporting and Controlling
- Monitor project margins, drive cost control, and prepare rolling forecasts
- Lead budgeting processes and provide variance reports to management
ERP and Tax System Management
- Utilize and improve ERP systems for efficient processes
- Oversee implementation of specific tax regulations, such as VAT exemptions for projects
Qualifications, Education, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or Business Administration from a recognized institution
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification
- At least 8 years of experience in finance, control, accounting, tax, and compliance
- Experience in multinational corporations (MNCs) is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Experience with Power BI is an advantage
- Legal right to work in Uganda and availability for on-site work when required
