Job Summary

The Finance Officer will support Kilimall’s expansion in Uganda by managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and facilitating the site launch. The role involves setting up HR mechanisms, overseeing daily operations, and bridging headquarters with local operations to align systems and culture.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Establish HR mechanisms (hiring, contracts, payroll) compliant with Ugandan legislation
• Lead planning and execution of the Uganda site launch, including site selection, procurement, and logistics
• Manage hiring through local channels to build teams and talent pools
• Bridge headquarters and local operations, ensuring system alignment and company culture implementation
• Ensure regulatory compliance through audits, record-keeping, and risk management
• Oversee daily operations, including cost control, vendor management, and administrative systems

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, or CPA certification
• At least 2 years of experience in finance
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
