Role Overview

This is a senior executive position on HACO’s leadership team, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

You will own the Central Cluster P&L and lead transformative growth in complex, high-potential markets.

We seek a proven business builder with deep market knowledge, bold leadership, and a track record of scaling in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities

Full P&L ownership — drive top-line growth and bottom-line profitability
Develop and execute market-specific strategies across general trade, key accounts, and modern trade
Lead Route-to-Market (RTM) transformation — optimize distributors, field execution, and last-mile delivery
Leverage data & analytics for decision-making, performance tracking, and growth opportunities
Build and lead high-performing, cross-cultural teams across diverse regulatory environments
Ensure compliance with local laws, company policies, and HACO’s ESG commitments
Represent HACO to government, stakeholders, and strategic partners

Requirements, Education & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, or related; MBA preferred
Experience: 10–15 years in FMCG; 5+ years in senior commercial or cluster leadership
Proven Growth: Track record in Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, Burundi (deep knowledge required)
Expertise: Route-to-Market, general trade, key account management
Analytics: Strong in data analysis, business planning, performance management
Leadership: Exceptional team building, negotiation, stakeholder management
Languages: Fluent English; French or Swahili a major advantage
