Role Purpose
Provide strategic leadership in finance, treasury, grants compliance, procurement, logistics, and operations. Safeguard assets, ensure donor/statutory compliance, and deliver IFRS-compliant, timely reporting to support multi-site program decisions. Lead internal controls, risk management, and operational excellence as part of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
Key Responsibilities
- Implement financial strategy, governance, and policy
- Manage treasury, liquidity, and FX risk
- Oversee financial accounting, closing, and IFRS reporting
- Lead grants management, donor compliance (EU/UNHCR), and sub-award lifecycle
- Drive systems, data, and process excellence
- Strengthen controls over mobile money, cash, AP/AR
- Oversee asset, inventory, procurement, and fleet management
- Establish audit, risk, and assurance frameworks
- Build high-performing finance team with strong leadership
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Business Admin, or related
- Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting
- Full CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA
- 10+ years progressive finance leadership
- 5+ years in (I)NGO multi-donor, field operations
- Expert in IFRS (incl. IFRS 9), treasury, external audits
- Proven EU/UNHCR donor complianceand sub-award management
- Strong ERP/FMIS leadership (MS Dynamics preferred)
- Change management and process improvement in HQ + field
