Job Summary
The Human Resource and Administration Officer at Be Energy Uganda will develop and implement HR policies, manage recruitment, and oversee administrative tasks to ensure effective human resource management and a positive work environment.
Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure effective human resource management
- Manage the recruitment process to ensure timely and cost-effective hiring
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
- Develop and implement employee motivation strategies to enhance performance
- Create and manage performance appraisal systems to promote high performance
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Support administrative tasks and ensure overall staff well-being
- Handle employee complaints, manage conflicts, and address disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, labor laws, and regulations
- Manage employee benefits and related programs
- Implement employee engagement strategies to foster a positive work environment
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to facilitate communication
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager
Qualifications, Education, and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
- At least three years of post-qualification experience in human resource management
- Ability to align HR plans with organizational goals
- Deep understanding of labor legislation and HR best practices
- Strong leadership skills to manage HR staff and lead organizational initiatives
- Proficiency in presentation and report writing
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels
