About the Role
Victoria University seeks an experienced HR Manager to lead our human resources functions. You'll develop and implement HR systems aligned with university policies and Ugandan labor laws, driving organizational excellence in our growing institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition and onboarding
- Design and implement performance management systems
- Lead staff training and development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with university policies and labor regulations
- Manage compensation, benefits, and payroll administration
- Develop and maintain HR information systems
- Handle employee relations and disciplinary matters
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration (HR), Industrial Psychology, or related field
- Master's degree in HR or relevant postgraduate qualification
- 10+ years HR experience with 4+ years in senior management
- Expertise in HRIS and Microsoft Office suite
Preferred:
- Professional HR certification
- Experience in higher education sector
