Job Summary
The In-House Bookkeeper/Accountant will manage financial records, payroll, tax filings, and budgeting for Grace Clean Energy & Water Ltd, starting part-time in early 2026 with potential for full-time based on performance. Reporting to the CEO/CFO and owners, the role ensures accurate documentation and compliance while supporting operational efficiency.
Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities
Financial Accounting and Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records in Excel and QuickBooks, including petty cash usage, customer payments (cash, EFT, check), and all invoices/receipts
- Prepare monthly payroll
- Prepare and file NSSF, PAYE, and VAT returns by the 11th of each month
- Set up QuickBooks accounts for 2026 and prepare monthly/quarterly P&L statements and balance sheets
- Ensure QuickBooks entries are accurate to facilitate external accountants’ support for financial statements
Procurement and Inventory Management
- Coordinate quarterly inventory counts with the Senior Technical Manager
- Order supplies and monitor inventory balances with the CEO
Banking and Budgeting
- Reconcile monthly bank statements for accuracy
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop and monitor the full-year budget, including monthly/quarterly forecasts
- Monitor major operating costs (e.g., vehicles, fuel, transportation, marketing)
Meetings and Collaboration
- Attend meetings with external accountants and auditors as needed
- Participate in weekly team meetings (in-person or Zoom) and contribute insights
Qualifications, Education, and Skills
- High school diploma with good grades; business or sales courses are advantageous
- University degree in Sales and Marketing or Business Administration is highly desirable
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience (solar systems and water purifiers experience is a plus)
- Excellent networking and communication skills in English; ability to pitch to high-level decision-makers
- Superior customer service, integrity, and integrity
