Job Summary

The KAM Controller at Ericsson Uganda will serve as a key business partner for Key Account Managers (KAMs) within Customer Unit East & North Africa (CU ENA). The role involves driving value creation, executing strategy, and overseeing financial performance, ensuring alignment with group goals and compliance with financial frameworks.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Act in the best interests of the group to enhance shareholder value
  • Advise and influence business decisions to meet financial goals and mitigate risks
  • Drive unit performance to achieve strategic objectives
  • Protect existing value through robust financial oversight
  • Leverage market expertise to align unit strategies with group goals
  • Serve as a key partner in all business decisions
  • Support value creation and collaboration across business units
  • Engage proactively in business negotiations during pre-sales
  • Oversee financial performance, including working capital and credit management
  • Foster a “One Finance” mindset among supporting finance teams
  • Support collections and accounts receivable follow-ups
  • Collaborate with Financial Control to ensure accurate accounting and reporting
  • Ensure strong project governance and implement detective and preventive controls
  • Ensure compliance with the Ericsson Business Process (EBP) and accounting principles
  • Manage financial risks and propose mitigation strategies
  • Promote a culture of ethics and compliance among stakeholders

Qualifications, Education, and Competencies

  • Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant role at Ericsson or a comparable position externally
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial, and business-oriented mindset
  • Ability to adapt quickly and lead in dynamic environments
  • Recognized expertise in business control or related fields
  • Strong strategic management and leadership skills
  • Ability to navigate risky and complex situations and deliver projects effectively
  • Creative and abstract thinking to solve unique business challenges
  • Ability to influence resource allocation and strategic direction
  • Challenger mindset to explain complex ideas and influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
