Position Overview

Great Lakes Collection is seeking a passionate and hands-on Lodge Manager to lead the operations of our upcountry safari lodge .The ideal candidate is a dynamic hospitality professional dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences mentoring a high-performing team and ensuring the seamless daily functioning of the lodge.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee all daily lodge operations including front office guest services housekeeping food and beverage and maintenance
Lead mentor and manage department heads to maintain high performance standards and service excellence
Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction by proactively addressing feedback and resolving any issues promptly and professionally
Manage lodge budgets control operational costs and implement strategies to drive profitability
Ensure full compliance with health safety hygiene and environmental standards and regulations
Foster a positive workplace culture focused on sustainability exceptional service and continuous improvement

Qualifications and Competencies

Qualification	Details
Experience	A minimum of 8 years of experience in lodge or hotel management
Leadership Skills	Proven strong leadership and team management skills
Communication Skills	Excellent communication interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Passion	A genuine passion for guest service and sustainable tourism practices
Technical Proficiency	Proficiency in reservation systems (e.g. PMS) and basic accounting or financial reporting
Location Requirement	Must be willing to reside and work full-time in a remote safari location
