Job Summary
The Manager Client Coverage at KCB Bank Uganda will acquire new corporate clients and manage existing relationships to align with the bank’s growth objectives.
This role involves serving as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering exceptional customer care, and collaborating with product development teams to tailor sales techniques to evolving customer needs. The position requires a focus on expanding deposit liabilities and profitability while conducting market research to enhance the bank’s market share.
Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Acquire new corporate clients and manage existing relationships to achieve the bank’s growth and profitability objectives
- Improve client retention by providing a single point of contact and superior customer service
- Collaborate with the Product Development Team to develop and enhance sales techniques tailored to evolving customer needs
- Expand and diversify deposit liabilities through client retention, acquisition, and reactivation
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for increasing market share
- Recommend viable and profitable risk assets to boost the business office’s profitability
- Develop products to meet corporate client needs and engage executives to drive the bank’s business
- Initiate and support recovery actions for non-performing credit facilities
- Provide overall guidance to Corporate Relationship Managers and establish a high-performing workforce through performance management, motivation, coaching, and training
Qualifications, Education, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Master’s degree in the above fields and/or partial or complete professional certifications in accounting/finance (ACCA/CPA or equivalent) is an advantage
- At least 8 years of sales experience as a corporate relationship manager
- Extensive experience in people management and/or commercial roles in the consumer products industry
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills
- Proven success in a high-demand sales organization
- Experience leading a medium-sized team
- Demonstrated history of driving sales results
- Inspirational leadership and coaching skills
- High financial and P&L literacy, with strong planning and project management abilities
- Skills in performance management, change management, selling, solution-finding, training, and development
