Fraud Oversight and Investigation: Set up policies for handling allegations, do investigations, and write reports
Internal Audits and Reviews: Plan and carry out audits, reviews of controls, and checks for compliance
Audit Liaison: Make sure that action plans are in place for audit results
Risk Management and Compliance Implementation: Be in charge of getting people to use the Risk Management and Compliance Model
Donor Requirements and Safeguarding: Make sure that you follow the rules for fraud and safeguarding set by your donors
Monitoring Partner Operations: Check to see if partners are following the rules for managing money
Managing Talent and Supporting Teams: Keep an eye on how your team works together, give them instruction, and evaluate their performance
Academic Requirements
Requirement
A bachelor's degree is required, but a master's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related discipline is recommended
Certification
Preferably have an accounting or audit certification (CIA, CFE, CPA, or something similar)
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
At least five years of relevant work experience, with at least three years in finance, compliance, risk management, and audit
Familiarity with COSO's Internal Control Framework, IIA standards, or audit standards
Good at data analytics, MS Office, and accounting systems
Good at talking to people, analyzing things, and managing relationships
Being honest and being able to travel 25% to 40% of the time
Must be fluent in English; knowing other languages is a plus

Important Work Relationships
Internal: The Head of Operations, the Head of Programs, the Chiefs of Party, the Country Representative, the Risk & Compliance Unit, the Safeguarding Team, the Regional Directors/Deputy Directors, the Uganda Country Office staff, and the Safeguarding Working Group
External: Caritas International, partner staff, donor compliance, and points of contact for protection
