Job Summary

We are looking for a Market Development Officer that is energetic and focused on getting things done to join our team.

 The job will be mostly about finding new market opportunities, making connections between producers, dealers, and consumers stronger, and supporting sustainable market systems that help businesses expand and improve the lives of young people in the project's target locations

Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities

• Do market assessments to find trends, chances, and limits
• Help the value chain grow and make it easier for intended beneficiaries to connect with the market
• Build and keep ties with people in the private sector, the government, and other important groups
• Help entrepreneurs, producer groups, and marketing associations with training, mentorship, and strengthening their skills
• Keep an eye on and assess market actions to see how they affect things and suggest ways to make them better
• Help young entrepreneurs and marketing groups come up with business strategies and investment opportunities
• Help entrepreneurs and marketing groups design products based on the intended value chains
• Help entrepreneurs, marketing groups, and the private sector connect with each other
• Make sure that the actions of the project are in line with the goals of the organization and the requirements of the donor

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

Skills:
A good understanding of how to get the private sector involved and how to make markets work for everyone
Very good at talking to people, making deals, and building networks
Experience managing projects, training people, and getting stakeholders to work together
Ability to work on your own, meet deadlines, and get good outcomes
