The Role
This isn't your normal internship We need someone who is tech-savvy and knows how to use digital tools to help with our marketing You will help Jiji's brand love grow and bring in new users through smart relationships with influencers This job gives you a rare chance to work at a top tech firm and quickly go forward in your career in PR and digital marketing
Main Duties
Talent Scouting: Actively look for investigate and make a list of possible brand ambassadors and influencers (nano micro and macro) on TikTok Instagram and X (Twitter) who genuinely fit with Jiji's brand values and target demographic
Outreach and Negotiation: Get in touch with influencers create connections with them and work out the parameters of your collaboration
Campaign Management: Be in charge of running influencer campaigns from start to finish This includes coming up with ideas for creative briefs looking over and approving content ideas making sure the brand is consistent and keeping track of when material will be published
Market Intelligence: To keep Jiji ahead of the curve always keep an eye on social media watch what competitors are doing and look for new trends and people who are becoming popular
Analysis and Reporting: Keep an eye on evaluate and analyze the success of influencer efforts using important metrics like engagement reach conversions and leads Then write up detailed reports with your findings and suggestions
Strategy Development: Help plan and create Jiji Uganda's overarching influencer marketing strategy
Academic Requirements
Requirement
A recent graduate (or finalist) with a degree in Communications Public Relations Marketing Journalism or a similar profession is a big plus
What You Need to Be
A Digital Native: You are always on social media You have a strong instinctive sense of what makes material interesting on TikTok Instagram and X
A Communicator: You are very good at speaking and writing in English You can write interesting messages and keep up with professional correspondence
A Creative Thinker: You can spot good content and provide authors helpful criticism
Organized and proactive: You are a self-starter with great organizing abilities who can handle several influencer connections and initiatives at the same time without missing the ball
Tech-Savvy: You need to be very good at using Google Suite (Docs Sheets and Slides)
